The first issue of STATUSS magazine was published 5 years ago – on the cover of it was a talented designer, artist and one of the Most Famous Women in the Czech Republic, Blanka Matragi. It is very symbolic that STATUSS magazine celebrates its anniversary and Blanka Matragi celebrates 30 years of her art career this year. The editorial office of STATUSS magazine congratulates Blanka and wishes her many successes, enthusiastic admirers of her talent, happiness and new creative discoveries!

Energetic and creative fashion designer and academic painter, Blanka Matragi, who won the title of “Outstanding Czech-born Woman in the World for the year 2003”, will celebrate the past 30 years of her creativity and, at the same time, of the establishment of her Blanka Haute Couture fashion salon in Beirut, where she has been living since 1980. It was in Beirut where she managed to succeed in the international competition in fashion creation in the area of utility and industrial design. Her customers include, among others, ruling Royal families of the Persian Gulf region, wives of politicians, diplomats and also significant art and entrepreneurial personalities in the Czech Republic and other countries.

In 2012, the Municipal House, too, will celebrate its centenary. It has long been known that architecture and clothing are the most telling legacies of all time. This is why, after the very successful collaborative experience in 2006 when Blanka Matragi celebrated the 25th anniversary of her creativity in the Municipal House with a gala show connected to her retrospective exhibition, they have also decided to plan their celebrations together in 2012.
