Diamonds: A Thing of Beauty which Makes Money
Diamonds are the greatest material gift of nature. We are dazzled not only by their beauty, but especially by their economic evaluation. Diamond jewelry and investment stones are offered in the Czech Republic by the Diamonds International Corporation, the only company in Central and Eastern Europe which is a member of the oldest Diamond Exchange in Antwerp.
Lovers of all things exquisite as well as smart investors are invited into the showroom which houses a unique diamond museum in Karlovy Vary. And in the capital city of Prague the most luxurious premises in the Czech Republic was recently opened an exclusive diamond club with jewelry collections and investment diamonds that take your breath away…
Diamonds as Jewelry

Age does not matter. Diamonds accentuate every lady and girl, as proven by the fourteen-year-old model Dominika Synková as well as the sensual thirty-six-year-old Pavlína Němcová. The Diamonds International Corporation ranked among the world’s leading manufacturers of exclusive jewelry for big name stars and deservedly is considered the Czech “Cartier”. Stones carefully selected from the diamond mines head for the diamond grinding plants of the biggest Czech diamond company. Its goldsmiths and stone cutters achieve their reputation by carrying out the designs of a group of renowned designers topped by the world-renowned designer for Arab princesses – the Lebanon-based Blanka Matragi. Her “Octopus” and “Piano Keys” collections have earned a place among the most beautiful combinations of diamonds and precious stones – only a limited number of the most demanding clients have the honor to decorate themselves with these jewels.
The Diamonds International Corporation respects tradition but also successfully starts new trends which are subsequently followed by other brands. Therefore, do not hesitate to enter the environment of the most luxurious shopping street in the Czech Republic, Pařížská Street in Prague. In a discrete cove, in Široká Street 15, you can admire the hottest collections of this famous company. The diamond showroom with its exclusive diamond club is maximally delicate. Strengthened safes equipped with unique light technology enable you to watch the sparkling jewelry through glass in their natural beauty and light as if you were turning and fingering these rings, bracelets and necklaces in your own hands under the open sky. Obliging and professional personnel will help you choose the most perfect product for you or your close ones and at unrivalled prices. And one more thing: If you announce your visit in advance at VIP phone numbers +420 602 222 986 or +420 777 222 986, you will get an exclusive diamond gift with your first purchase – a luxurious brilliant-studded pen.
Diamonds as Investment
The Diamonds International Corporation, as a member of the prestigious Beurs voor Diamanthandel exchange, has first-hand the best diamonds of today with certificates from three gemological laboratories. Its diamond jewelry, watches and accessories are also in extraordinarily high demand abroad. This is one of the reasons why the Diamonds International Corporation is expanding at rocket speed. Subsidiary companies have been created in Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Vietnam and China. However, China, the most populous country in the world, yearns for yet another product from the Diamonds International Corporation – investment diamonds. As such are considered brilliants when their weight exceeds one carat. Over the last one hundred years, diamonds along with gold have been the most advantageous investment. And diamond definitively wins over gold in many respects:
- It is highly mobile. You can carry the equivalent value of several family homes in the pocket of your jacket or trousers. And if it is you do not wan to draw the attention or envy of others, diamond investment is discreet – in contrast to movable assets and real estate which is recorded and registered.
- It is liquid. Even in crisis situations you can easily exchange it for money with the price being the same worldwide.
- It knows no borders. You buy in Europe, sell in America. It is internationally recognized, it serves as global medium of exchange and you can exchange it for any currency. Security systems will not start ringing at airport check points.
- It is indestructible. It resists acids, alkalis, water, and fire. It cannot be broken; only another diamond can scratch it.
- It is constant. It is not subject to fashion trends like art and antiques. It does not go through exchange rate turbulence. It does not depend on stock markets. Over the last one hundred years, it has not experienced downturns; on the contrary, it maintains a permanent rate of growth. Moreover, diamond mines report that many of the highest quality diamonds will already be mined by 2020. The value of investment stones should then increase unimaginably.
MUDr. Luboš Říha, owner of the Diamonds International Corporation, recommends: Invest in diamonds as soon as and for as long as possible.
MUDr. Luboš Říha is a doctor by profession. But he learned to help people in a different way – commercially. His Diamonds International Corporation, of which he is owner and president, helps women accentuate their beauty, helps men gain more shining prestige and helps investors get rich. At the end of June he opened a strategic branch in China with the participation of the wife of the President of the Chinese Republic herself. Now the diamond showroom in Shenzhen is one of the most sought out addresses for wealthy clientele across China as well as in nearby Hong Kong. And this is due particularly to interest in investment diamonds.
Why is diamond investment in such demand? Diamond is concentrated wealth. This was already recognized by people who put their last assets into diamonds in the Second World War. Not only did they preserve the value of their money, but it went entirely unnoticed. Indeed, a diamond worth one million crowns weights 0.5 grams and nearly gets lost in the palm of one’s hand, while gold of the same value is represented by a two kilogram brick. That is why diamond is in extraordinary demand both in periods of crisis and prosperity when people seek meaningful investments to store excess money. This is the reason why the demand for diamonds, as well as their value, constantly increases. And in recent months the demand has grown very rapidly.
Why? Behind all of this is the growing interest of investors from emerging economies in the Middle East and Asia, especially China and India. With growing demand, the price of the raw material, that is, mined crystals, increases significantly and this is reflected also in the price of the cut stone. From the beginning of the year the price of most groups of diamonds increased by an incredible 10 %. Those who already own a big investment stone rub their hands in satisfaction. Those who do not, are left trying to obtain one. Particularly Chinese investors buy out almost all the quality investment stones and the biggest pieces above 10 carats are hard to find on the market.
Not even at the Diamonds International Corporation? Our company, as a member of the oldest diamond exchange in Antwerp, has priority access to select stones. That is why we are able, even at the present time, to offer solvent clients unique big investment diamonds. Recently we secured an 18-carat unique stone of the best parameters at a value of 4 565 000 USD for an unnamed highly positioned interested person from the East. He was absolutely enthusiastic. Investors know there is a certain lag between the price of the basic raw material and the rise in the price of the cut stone, attributed to the length of the cycle between selection, purchase, analysis, cutting and delivery of the stone to the market. The time before the jump in price manifests in business is up to six months. Literally, clients buy in the Diamonds International Corporation at the old price but soon they are be able to sell already at much higher price.
How quickly does the value of diamonds increase and after what time period does it pay off to sell again? Diamond increases its value in the long-term horizon of at least three to five years. The average yearly yield ranges between 3 and 7 %. It depends on the parameters of the diamond. Of course, the longer you keep it, the more you earn. In the last hundred years the value of diamonds dropped only twice. And, for example, in 2007 the value of some kinds increased by up to 70 %. Diamonds should constitute about 5–10 % of an investment portfolio. An interesting stone with 6-8 % yearly evaluation can be purchased already starting at 600 000 CZK.
Can the Diamonds International Corporation take care of the client’s safety? Security and discretion are as natural for us as the transparent product and perfect service. Clients obtain all necessary information in any of our showrooms, ideally in Prague or in Karlovy Vary. They can see investment stones in a secure salon which is protected, for example, also against wiretapping. We guarantee absolute anonymity and when needed we also provide the transport of the diamond to the private safe of our client.
Karlovy Vary has the first Diamond Museum
It is possible to see diamonds, pearls, sapphires and many other valuables in the new unique premises in Karlovy Vary. The first Diamond Museum in the Czech Republic, created by the Diamonds International Corporation, is located in the basement of a former bank. Visitors are able to see something seen nowhere else – how a diamond changes from the original “ugly duckling” mined from the depth of the earth, into a gem; goldsmiths on the premises manually manufacture beautiful jewelry before the eyes of visitors; another room replicates a diamond mine. The permanent exposition enables you to admire jewels worth an incredible quarter of a billion Czech crowns. Black and white pearls top the collection of gemstones brought to Karlovy Vary from all parts of the world. It is also possible to purchase select jewelry in the diamond center in its retail area.
