The Buddha-Bar itself is a very specific enterprise. A connection between Asian cuisine, modern design and live music – this is the Buddha-Bar!

We specialize in Pan-Asian cuisine, meals brimming with multiple flavors and aromas, all underscored by candle light and captivating music. I believe that the magic of the place will win your heart and enchant you so much that it will attract you again and again.

What business principles come into play when successfully running a restaurant?
To like one’s work, to be convinced that the work you do is meaningful. Positive thinking and energy. Putting together a good work team on which you can always rely. “The Buddha-Bar, this is treasure which has a soul.”

How important is the charisma of the manager?
Charisma is important, but for me the right approach towards people is crucial. It means being genuine, adhering to fair play, and having the ability to state one’s opinion and stand by it. This, I believe, is most crucial in business as well as in life. When you have character and certain moral principles and if you believe in yourself and have confidence in yourself, others will also trust that what you are doing is genuine and right.

Your favorite food?
I like almost everything in Asian cuisine, especially sushi. I can say in all honesty that at the Buddha Bar we have some of the best, and certainly the most original, sushi in Prague. In particular, I would recommend various combinations of Maki Sushi with our delicious sauces made with secret ingredients.

Your secret of success?
To be myself, to believe in what I do, optimism, openness to new things and sometimes nerves of steel. Humility and respect for my team.
