Health is a key condition for successful business

According to the head of the organizing team, Eva Primus Kovandová, the main goal of the conference Prevention – Half Health, which took place at Slovanský House in the centre of Prague was to provide the public and entrepreneurs with as much relevant information as possible about the benefits, availability and quality of preventive health care and to motivate them not to forget about health care.

How did you come up with the idea of organizing this conference?
The covid-19 pandemic and all the difficulties and complications associated with it reminded us strongly that health must really be the first priority for everyone. Health is of course also a key condition for a successful business. It concerns both the entrepreneurs themselves and their employees, who are also in short supply in a number of fields. Emphasis on prevention and prevention of health problems is therefore meaningful for entrepreneurs from an economic point of view. Many people, led by entrepreneurs, live and work at a fast pace, so they usually do not even realize that it is necessary not to forget to take care of their health and preventive care. Most health problems can be prevented by proper prevention.

Did the conference meet your expectations?
The primary purpose of the event was to offer the public information about the importance of preventive health care, its segments, possibilities and availability. Top experts in their fields gave lectures at the conference, so the participants received information and advice from the most knowledgeable mouths. At the same time, I wanted everyone to take away a little worm that would gnaw at their minds and remind them that sometimes they need to slow down or switch off completely for a while, that it is worth not underestimating the care of their health, sometimes they need to see a doctor or go for screening examinations, play sports or pay more attention to what they eat and drink. Last but not least, we wanted to offer all participants a unique opportunity to exchange or gain contacts with experts, medical institutions or companies that do business in the healthcare sector. I am convinced that these goals were met with excellence. We have also had positive feedback from the participants, which of course makes me really happy.

Are you planning to hold the conference again?
Yes, we would definitely like to organize it regularly. If only because experts point out that prevention is an “eternal” topic. However, we will of course prepare changes and innovations for next year to make the conference interesting not only for new participants, but also for those who have already arrived this year.

What other events does the Prague 1 Chamber of Commerce have in the near future?
There will be a whole series of events to which I cordially invite all interested entrepreneurs.
